Pune: Deputy CM Ajit Pawar today reviewed the work on Maan-Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar Metro-3 line in Pune. In order to expedite the work, he directed the police to allow round the clock girder laying work and construction work on public holidays. He also emphasized that care should be taken to keep the roads beneath the integrated double-decker flyover to prevent traffic congestion along the route. Ajit Pawar stressed if the roads or drainage lines are damaged due to metro work, they must be repaired immediately. He advised using new technology if needed. The ongoing metro work, along with deteriorating road conditions, has caused significant traffic disruptions. Ajit Pawar said if these works are not done in time, action will be taken against the concerned company. DCM stressed the urgency of accelerating the metro work which is going to benefit the citizens by reducing traffic congestion, give relief from pollution and provide them with a comfortable mode of travel. Substantial work has already been done in the construction work for Metro Line 3 which connects Maan-Hinjewadi to Shivajinagar.
