Pune: DyCM Ajit Pawar has reacted to NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule’s allegations that NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar and she was not allowed to raise questions in the meeting organised by the District Planning Committee (DPC). They were instead given a long lecture on how they could not raise questions in such a meeting.
Now, an upset Ajit Pawar has reacted to her allegations. He said, “I never insulted Sharad Pawar. I hold him in a high esteem. He is our deity. Supriya Sule said that I insulted Saheb (Sharad Pawar). I have never done this and will never do it. He is our deity for so many years.
“But they develop such a narrative and spread it among the people that Saheb was insulted. He was not treated well, etc.”
Supriya Sule’s statement
Supriya Sule claimed that Ajit Pawar said they did not have the right to raise questions in the DPC meeting. She said, “Sharad Pawar asked a question in the DPC meeting: ‘How are the development funds divided?’ On this, we were given a long lecture that we do not have the right, etc.
“We were shown a Government Resolution (GR). I asked them if we do not have the right to speak, then why do you invite us for such meetings? Later, the administration conveyed to me that we are invited and we can speak in the meeting. This is suppression.”
