Pune: The Maharashtra Assembly elections are around the corner. All parties are busy in preparing for the polls. The ruling Maha Yuti has made strategies ahead of hustings. People are curious to know who will be the chief minister if the alliance wins.

When Deputy Chief Minister and NCP (AP) President Ajit Pawar was asked about the probable CM face, he got upset and said, “I do not have time for such trivial discussions. Ask me about poverty, development.” He was addressing the media in Pune on Saturday (July 20). 

‘No worries about the chief minister’s post’

When asked to comment about the probable CM face in the Maha Yuti, Pawar said, “The upcoming elections will be fought under the leaderships of the BJP, the Shiv Sena and the NCP (AP). Do not worry about the chief ministership. A CM will definitely be given.”

‘Ask me only about development’

He said, “This is the reason why I do not want to speak to you. I do not have time to indulge in such trivial discussion. I am a busybody. I start addressing meetings at 7 am when you lie in bed. I am merely telling you. Therefore, ask me only about poverty, development.”

‘I do not want to waste time’

Pawar said, “Schemes are being implemented to eliminate poverty from the State. The government is taking steps for an all-round development of the State. I do not want to give importance to what the opposition said or what promises they made. I do not want to waste my time in replying to their queries.”

‘Such reports entertain me’

It is said that Ajit Pawar may join the third front in the elections. He commented on this too. He said, “There is no iota of truth in this. Such reports entertain me. I do not take such discussions seriously.”
