A Musical Concert By Alpha Events On Friday
Sarod playing Indrayudha Majumdar and 'Vaikuntanayaka' program based on Abhang compositions.
Pune : Alpha Events, which has been playing an important role in the field of classical music has organized a concert of sarod playing by promising young artist Indruyudh Majumdar and 'Vaikunthnayak', featuring Abhang compositions of saints from Maharashtra and participation of artists from the legendary families of the music world on Friday 15th November. The compositions will be heard in the new swaravishkar.
It will be held on 15th November 2024 at 5:30 PM in the auditorium of Bal Shikshan Mandir, Mayur Colony, informed Nikhil Joshi, Director, Alpha Events and renowned classical singer Aparna Panashikar in a statement.
The first session of the programme will feature sarod recital by Indrayudh Majumdar, a promising young artiste, who will be accompanied by renowned tabla maestro Pandit Arvind Kumar Azad.
Indrauyudh started playing the sarod at the age of five. He started taking lessons from his father Pandit Tejendra Majumdar. Similarly, his mother Dr. Manasi Majumdar gave him guidance in singing. Indrayudh represents the renowned Senia Meher gharana of sarod playing. He has been honoured with several national and international awards.
In the second session of the program, Vaikunthnayak, a program produced by Shri Sant Seva Sangh, will be presented. Sant Janabai, Sant Shri Vitha Maharaj, Sant Shri Nila Maharaj, Sant Shri Narahari Sonar Maharaj, Sant Shri Sena Nhavi Maharaj, Sant Shri Savatamali Maharaj, Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj, Sant Shri Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Sant Shri Eknath Maharaj will present their compositions. Pandit Sanjeev Abhyankar, a disciple of Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Anand Bhate, a disciple of Bharat Ratna Swarabhaskar Pandit Bhimsen Joshi, and Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar, a disciple of Gansaraswati Kishori Amonkar, will present compositions. The music has been composed by Jeevan Dharmadhikari. The programme will be compered by Swarnima, Trustee, Shri Sant Seva Sangh and the artistes will be accompanied by Bharat Kamat (Tabla), Prasad Joshi (Pakhawaj), Uddhav Kumbhar (Percussion) and Shubhada Athavale (Samvadini). The programme is open to all, stated a press release.
