A Combination Of Science And Spirituality Is Necessary To Come Out Of A War Situation: Senior Scientist Dr.Raghunath Mashelkar
10th World Parliament based on Science, Religion/ Spirituality and Philosophy inaugurated in presence of thinkers from various countries
Pune : ‘Even as we celebrate World Peace Day, there is a situation in world like war,’ senior scientist Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar on Thursday said that we have to combine science and spirituality to come out of such a war situation and bring peace in the world.
Dr. Mashelkar was speaking at the inaugural function of the 10th World Parliament on Science, Religion/Spirituality and Philosophy at the world' s largest peace dome at Vishwaraj Bagh, Loni Kalbhor, organised by MIT World Peace University from October 3 to 5. Senior computer scientist Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Founder of The Power of Worlds Foundation Deborah Savaf, Tzudium founder Dr Denise Guarda, Jain religious leader Acharya Lokesh Muniji, Prof. Ruzana Paschu, President of MIT World Peace University Prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Working President Rahul Karad, Vice Chancellor of MIT ADT University Prof. Dr. Mangesh Karad, Vice Chancellor of MIT World Peace University Dr. R.M. Chitnis, Pro. Vice-Chancellor Dr. Milind Pande and others were present. The parliament has been attended by religious leaders and thinkers from many countries.
Dr. Mashelkar said that 200 missiles were fired from Iran on Israel on the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi i.e. World Peace Day. Russia and Ukraine are at war. In such a situation, how can we celebrate World Peace Day. It is very difficult to combine science and spirituality in this context. By combining science and spirituality, we can create a new generation. As scientists, we focus on demonstrations and experiments and their results. At the same time, spirituality is based entirely on experience. It provides spiritual peace and peace of mind. There is a connection between the two. Science, for example, is the outcome and solution of global warming. They say. However, according to the laws of spirituality, we can control it by changing our lifestyle and through sustainable measures. We should seriously consider the consequences of the war in the last few decades in the world. We need to take inspiration from the Dalai Lama, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi.
Dr. Bhatkar said that the question of whether we can live peacefully in the 21st century is constantly being raised. At present, the combination of machine and man in the world seems terrible. In the meantime, artificial intelligence has emerged, so we are worried about the peace of the future. At such a time, we need to be able to ask the thoughts of the great great Mahatma Gandhi. Of course, they will be useful in establishing peace.
Deborah Savaf said that it is the responsibility of all of us to establish peace and unity in the world. We are working in the field of fashion, which combines technology, education and art. Using this medium, we are promoting Indian culture. We need to teach. Without it, we will not be able to progress. Our Indian culture is old. Therefore, we should try to put it into practice. We should remember that yoga and meditation cleanse our minds. If culture, spirituality, science are combined with emotional intelligence, emotional quotient, we can definitely create excellent young generations and world leaders," Savaf said.
Dr. Denise Guorda said that we are trying to establish peace in the world through science, technology, humanity values and religion. If you look at the history of the last 5,000 years, many wars will come to mind in which thousands of people have died. In such a situation, we should all think about establishing peace in the world through technology and spirituality. If technology is responsibly sought to restore peace, it will surely succeed.
Dr. Vishwanath Dr. Karad said that the need of the hour is to bring peace in the world. If we look at the situation of the world, we have no option but to implement the thoughts of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Sant Tukaram Maharaj, Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri. Parliament will benefit.
