Pune, November 6, 2024 — The Jito Pune Chapter hosted a highly impactful event today at Sarhad Public School on the theme of "Inclusive Growth." The event, graced by Padma Bhushan D.R. Mehta as the keynote speaker, attracted a strong turnout of Jito community members and distinguished guests, all gathered to discuss the key aspects of inclusive development.

The event was held at Sarhad Public School, founded by Mr. Sanjayji Nahar, who, in his speech, emphasized that the school’s mission is non-commercial, focusing on providing quality education at very reasonable fees, ensuring accessibility for all sections of society.

Dineshji Oswal, Chief Secretary of Jito Pune Chapter, began the event with a heartfelt welcome address. He highlighted the importance of collaboration and growth in society, setting the tone for a meaningful discussion on inclusive growth. Inderji Chhajed, Chairman of Jito Pune Chapter, followed with a brief introduction to Padma Bhushan D.R. Mehta, sharing details of his extraordinary career and his contributions to finance, social welfare, and the establishment of Jaipur Foot, a transformative initiative that has helped thousands of people regain mobility through affordable prosthetics.

Padma Bhushan D.R. Mehta's keynote speech was inspiring as he spoke about the importance of social contribution and self-satisfaction, stressing that these values are far more fulfilling than merely pursuing financial success. He also shared insights from his extensive experience as Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India and Chairman of SEBI, emphasizing the need for financial inclusion and social welfare. His pioneering work with the Jaipur Foot initiative has made a lasting impact on the lives of people with disabilities by providing them affordable prosthetics.

The event was introduced by Vanitaji Mehta, who eloquently spoke about Mr. Mehta’s exemplary contributions and vision.
