Pune: The sudden onset of heavy rain in Dubai has led to the suspension of flight services from Pune to Dubai for two days, with the possibility of further disruptions in the coming days. This has left travelers bound for tourism in Dubai stranded and disappointed.
Over the past two days, Dubai has experienced heavy rainfall, resulting in widespread flooding across the city. The deluge has inundated many areas, including Dubai International Airport, which stands as the world's busiest airport. Consequently, airport authorities have been compelled to halt operations until the flood situation is brought under control.
Among the affected flights is 'SG 52', a daily service connecting Pune to Dubai, which has been grounded for the past two days. Passengers scheduled to travel on flights from Pune to Dubai are advised to defer their plans until normalcy is restored at the airport. The administration has issued an appeal urging travellers to exercise patience and refrain from traveling until the situation improves.
The disruption comes as a blow to tourists who had planned trips to Dubai during the summer vacation period. Excitement turned into dismay as the rain and subsequent floods dashed their hopes of enjoying a holiday in Dubai.
