The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Pune International Centre (PIC) are organizing the Asia Economic Dialogue 2025, an annual geoeconomics conference that will take place in Pune from February 20 to February 22.

Themed “Economic Resilience and Resurgence in an Era of Fragmentation,” this sixth installment of the AED will be a three-day, 12-session international conference. It will assemble over 40 speakers, comprising scholars, policymakers, and industry specialists from nine different countries: Australia, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Nepal, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Africa, and Sri Lanka. The involvement of ministers will enable the sharing of innovative ideas and strategies.

The conference will begin with opening remarks from Raghunath Mashelkar, president of PIC, followed by an inaugural address from Piyush Goyal, minister of commerce.

Ambassador Gautam Bambawale, convenor of AED 2025, former Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan and former ambassador to China and Bhutan, will have a conversation with Goyal during the first session. Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairperson of Biocon Group, will follow by chatting with Rama Bijapurkar, author of "Lilliput Land: How Small is Driving India's Mega Consumption Story" and an expert on India's consumer economy.
