Four Minor Girls Fall Into Road Construction Pit In Katraj-Kondhwa Road

Pune: In a disheartening incident, four minor girls fell into a pit created for the Katraj-Kondhwa road-widening project. The tragic event occurred on Thursday, June 6, around noon near the Unnat Society.
According to police information, road widening work on the Katraj-Kondhwa road is ongoing in this area. Some labourers have established temporary huts along the roadside for this project. The 15-foot-deep pit was created for the construction work, and the girls had gone there to wash their clothes.
While washing their clothes, the four girls slipped and fell into the pit. Local eyewitnesses immediately informed the police and fire brigade rescue officers. Despite the quick response, the local citizens managed to pull the girls out of the pit, but unfortunately, one girl could not be saved.
The fire brigade officers rushed the girls to the hospital, where doctors declared one girl dead on arrival. The girls involved in the incident were Sargam Shilawat, Sejal Shilawat, and Janu Shilawat. The deceased girl was identified as Muskan Shilawat. The Kondhwa police are conducting further investigations into the incident to determine the circumstances leading to this tragedy.
