Pune, September 13, 2024: Wakad police have arrested former Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar faction) corporator Vinod Jaywant Nadhe and his cousin, Sachin Nadhe, following a pistol firing incident at a hotel on Thursday evening. The incident occurred at the 'Rahul Bar and Khushboo' Hotel, where the two, along with friends, were drinking on the first floor.

According to police reports, Vinod Nadhe, who previously served as a corporator for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, holds a licensed pistol for personal protection. During the gathering, Vinod received a call from his uncle, who expressed concerns for his safety. In response, Vinod assured his uncle that he always carried his gun for protection.

Upon hearing this, cousin Sachin Nadhe urged Vinod to show him the gun. Vinod Nadhe obliged, but Sachin unexpectedly loaded the pistol and fired a shot at the wall of the hotel. Luckily, no one was injured in the incident, although the bullet narrowly missed a person sitting near the wall.

Wakad police were quick to act, detaining both Vinod and Sachin Nadhe shortly after the incident, which occurred around 8:45 p.m. on Thursday. Despite no injuries, the firing prompted swift legal action, and a complaint has been registered at the Wakad police station.
