Pune: The first merit list for the admission of junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad will be declared today, June 27. Those students who got admission to their first preferred college have to take admission to that college. The deadline for confirming admission of students for the first list is July 1. After that, the second list of colleges will be declared for the remaining seats.

This year, there are 1,20,265 seats available in 343 colleges in the central online admission process for eleven standard in junior colleges in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Out of that, 93,356 seats are for the central admissions process (CAP), whereas 26,909 seats are reserved for in-house and other quota admissions.

This year, 70,282 students have registered for central admissions. The provisional merit list of the verified students who have filled out Parts I and II of the application form has been published on the website. It included a total of 70,367 students. The merit list for the first round of admissions will be announced after processing the objections and corrections on this list. Along with the merit list, students will also be able to see the cut-off marks of the colleges on the website.

As per the provision, the students who got their first preferred college must confirm their admission in this round. While students who want a better college can wait for the second round of the merit list. A student can choose to confirm, deny, or cancel the admission through his login. According to the statistics on the website of the 11th admission, 3,814 students have taken admission in the admission process under the institutional quota, management quota, and minority quota so far.
