Pune: In the early hours of yesterday morning, a devastating fire engulfed a house and a nearby warehouse in the Old Nashik area, sparking panic among residents. The intense flames consumed both structures completely, leaving behind a trail of destruction. Shockingly, around fifty two-wheelers stored in the warehouse were also reduced to ashes in the inferno.

The thick smoke billowing from the blaze spread throughout the vicinity, instilling fear among the locals. Prompt action was taken as citizens immediately alerted the fire brigade upon noticing the unfolding disaster.

News of the fire quickly spread across Nashik city, prompting a swift response from the authorities. Firefighters rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to contain the flames. Despite the ferocity of the fire, the firefighters managed to bring the situation under control in a relatively short span of time.

Tragically, the house and warehouse bore the brunt of the blaze, resulting in significant damage. Preliminary estimates suggest a loss of lakhs of rupees due to the destruction caused by the fire.

While the cause of the fire remains unknown, eyewitnesses reported seeing flames taking on a vivid red hue as they engulfed the structures. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported, although three civilians sustained minor injuries in the chaos.

The incident highlights a concerning trend of increasing fire incidents in Nashik city. Just two days prior, a similar fire had erupted in a scrap warehouse in the Satpur area.
