Pune: The election commission has sent notices to Murlidhar Mohol, Ravindra Dhangekar, Dr. Amol Kolhe, and Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil after they found differences in the election expenditures of these candidates in the second round of expenditure monitoring. Therefore, the election commission has sent notices to all candidates and sought an explanation from them in this regard.

The reported spending on behalf of Mohol amounted to Rs. 13,06,474. Upon scrutiny by the election officials, it was discovered that the actual expenditure stood at Rs. 49,34,058. Consequently, a variance of Rs. 36,27,584 was noted in Mohol's accounted expenses.

Similarly, a variance of Rs. 11,67,709 was found in the expenditures of his opponent, Ravindra Dhangekar. Additionally, four other candidates from the Pune constituency have been served notices for failing to establish a separate account for election expenses.

A similar incident took place in Shirur Lok Sabha constituency as well, where Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil and his opponent, Dr. Amol Kolhe, also received notices from the election commission for differences in the election expenditure.

According to the shadow report in the investigation of the expenditure of Adhalrao, Rs. 53,38,334 was spent. Whereas, he only showed the expenditure of 22,91,548 rupees in his official expenditure. Further, the incumbent MP, Dr. Amol Kolhe, only showed an expenditure of Rs 32,18,968; on the contrary, his expenditure stood at 43,96,786 rupees. There is a total mismatch of Rs 11,77,458 in Kolhe's election expenses.

Similarly, a total of six people, including Rahul Oval of the Bahujan Samaj Party in Shirur, Dr. Anwar Shaikh of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, and Narayan Ankushe of the Bharatiya Jawan Kisan Party, have been issued notices by the election commission.
