Pune, September 17, 2024: After the Porsche car accident case in Pune's Kalyani Nagar, the severity of 'Drink and Drive' cases came to the fore. After that, Pune police went on alert mode and started safe drive movement in Pune, ensuring tougher action on reckless drivers in the city.

However, in spite of the police's action in this case, cases of accidents are not reducing in the city. Yesterday, the BJP leader and Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Chandrakant Patil's car in the convoy, met with an accident. According to the information, it has come to light that the four-wheeler driver, who was driving under the influence of alcohol, hit hard the car in Patil's convoy.

Fortunately, Chandrakant Patil narrowly escaped in this accident and did not receive any injuries. This incident took place on Monday night.

As per the information, Patil was coming to Pune for Ganpati Bappa's darshan. At that time, an inebriated individual crashed the car in Patil's convoy. After the incident, police immediately detained the individual and started further investigation. It was revealed that he was driving the car under the influence of alcohol.

Talking about the accident, Chandrakant Patil said, "A drunk driver hit a police car in my convoy. The young men and women in this car were drunk. After the accident, the youth was arrested by police. However, the women managed to skedaddle from the incident. My car moved forward; otherwise, I would not have appeared in front of you."

At that time, he also demanded a registration of complaint against both the people in the car.
