The possibilities that drone technology brings, not just for technological advancement but for solving real-world challenges, said Dr. Sunil Dhore, Head, Computer Development, Army Institute of Technology, Pune, as Chief Guest.

G H Raisoni International Skill Tech University organised the inaugural ceremony of the Drone Development Club at the University campus on 19th October 2024. Dr. M.U. Kharat, Vice-Chancellor, G H Raisoni International Skill Tech University, Pune, Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director, GHRCEM, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, Registrar, GHRISTU Mr. Dayanand Suryawanshi, Director of Examination, and Ms. Kajal Khobragade, Programme and Club Coordinators, and Prof Amit Kumar, Club coordinator were present in the event. This event, whose aim was to foster innovation, creativity, and hands-on learning among students. Airborne scouts group named Yomdhara (Yerwada branch) won the first prize and Udaan group named KrishiXpert (Wagholi branch) was awarded the runner-up trophy.

Dr. Sunil Dhore emphasised the transformative potential power of drones in various sectors. In defence sector drone play a vital role for security purpose. He encouraged students to “embrace the endless possibilities that drone technology brings, not just for technological advancement but for solving real-world challenges." His motivational words inspired participants to think beyond traditional applications and consider the impact of drone innovation on society.

Dr. M.U. Kharat, Vice-Chancellor, said that The event culminated in a showcase of brilliant ideas by various student groups, each demonstrating cutting-edge drone prototypes and solutions. The winners and runners-up were applauded for their outstanding efforts and innovation. Every participant deserves commendation for their hard work and the creative solutions they brought to the table.
