Deputy CM Takes Questions From Citizens; Displays His Leadership, Style Of Walking The Talk
Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s much talked Jan Sanman Yatra reached Pune today i.e. 15.08.2024 (Thursday). The Yatra travelled through Parvathi, Wadgaon Sheri, and Hadapsar assembly constituencies of the Pune district where people from all sections of society joined the outreach events in large numbers. Ahead of assembly polls, the mega Yatra is intended to reach out to people to help them avail the recently launched schemes and initiatives of Mahayuti government.
During one of the events, in Wadgaon Sheri assembly constituency, Ajit Dada held a live unscripted interaction with Housing & Cooperative Society Office Bearers & NGOs in Viman Nagar where he was seen in action. People from societies across the Wadgaon Sheri raised their concerns related to stray dogs, illegal shops, encroachments and other civic issues, stated a press release.
People also complained that ward officials are not resolving their concerns. After listening to their problems, he paused the meeting for a while and dialled the Municipal Commissioner of the Pune Municipal Corporation. In the live interaction, Dada’s administrative and decisive leadership was evident as he directed the commissioner to schedule a meeting with MLA where one of his OSD will also remain present to resolve the issues immediately.
In the Lohegaon area, Mr. Pawar held an interaction with Ex-Servicemen & Retired Defence Personnel and saluted those who sacrificed their life for the country. He said in Wadgaon Sheri assembly constituency there are several families whose members are in the Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and India Army and we salute them. Recognizing their service for the nation, he said “our freedom fighters make us proud and our Army also helps the common man in handling disaster management like the recent Wayanad disaster along with securing the borders”.
The NCP Chief accused the opposition of creating a fake narrative around the Constitution in the recent Lok Sabha polls and he expressed his unwavering commitment to uphold the Constitutional values. “We are proud of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar who drafted our constitution. In the Lok Sabha polls, the opposition tried to set a fake narrative. Today, the NCP party workers across the state organized preamble reading to uphold the constitutional values”, he added.
Mr Ajit Pawar also addressed a press Conference in Pune and said that Cabinet has sanctioned funds for Bhide Wada memorial and the work will start on priority basis. He said the Central government has given over Rs 75000 crore for Vadhavan Port project and we want more funds for it. He added that Maharashtra should be given more funds like Andhra Pradesh and Bihar saying we want Mahayuti govt back in power so that our developmental works can continue.
He also talked about Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana adding it has brought smiles on the faces of women of Maharashtra. He also slammed the opposition for opposing the scheme.
Describing himself as the servant of people, Ajit Dada said his government has worked for the poor of the state and provided benefits of the welfare schemes to every section of the society irrespective of caste and religion. Earlier, Ajit Dada also visited Ganpati Temple in Sarasbaug and Tarkeshwar Temple in Yerwada and offered prayers.
