DAY 4 / LOYOLA FOOTBALL CUP : Loyola Show Class, Win Three
Vibgyor earn walkover as Infant Jesus fail to turn up.
Pune, 20th September: Hosts’ Loyola High School had a field day winning all their matches comfortably in the Loyola Football Cup 2024 powered by Tata Autocomp at the Loyola H.S ground, Pashan here on Friday.
The toast of the day was the Under-12 section where Loyola H.S cruised to a 4-0 win over Millennium National School. Led by an opening goal by Shaun Angre (7’), Loyola H.S got going with Shardul Mandhar (9’) adding another in a minute thereafter.
Loyola H.S added two more, Shaun (16’) added another to take his tally to a double and Nathaniel David (24’) completed the tally.
In the morning session matches, Loyola H.S had their Under-16s and Under-14s score easy wins over Millennium National School respectively to complete a clean sweep. The U-16s aided by strikes from Harsh Chandan (30+1’), Param Kulkarni (36’) pushed aside Millenium 2-0.
Later, a goal each by Adiraj Singh (13’), Samarth Wagh (15’), Evan Alex (37’) and Jonathan Manoj (35’) showed a collective hand in downing Millennium after Archit Patole (46’) pulled one back for the losers.
Meanwhile, Vibgyor earned easy points after their opponents Infant Jesus failed to report in all three sections. As a result, Vibgyor bagged three points.
