Dastur School Students Excels In Wiz International Spelling Bee And Handwriting Olympiad
Pune:Adeeba Ashfaque Mujahid, from Sardar Dastur Nosherwan Girls' High School bagged 3rd place in the Wiz National Level Spell Bee competition, while Kavin Ramaraj Gaunder, from Sardar Dastur Hormazdiar High School bagged 6th place in the Wiz National Level Handwriting Olympiad.
On behalf of WIZ INTERNATIONAL Spell Bee and Handwriting Wizards, ( Pune Coordinator) Dharmendra Singh and Dilprit Kaur congratulated Dastur School for the exceptional achievements of its students in the National Level competitions.
Prize distribution was held recently on 16th September' 2024, at Ravindra Bhavan, Margoa - Goa. The Guest of honour for the event were Dr. Shekar S. Salkar ( Oncologist and President - NOTE ) and Shri Bhuvanish Shet. (Director, Jai Bhuvan group).
WIZ International serves as a platform for students to showcase and develop their talents at the national level.This competition is organised in Premium schools of Pune, including Gurunanak Public School, City World School, St. Vincent Primary School, and many others. These schools collaborate to provide students the opportunity to explore and excel on this prestigious platform.
In addition to these remarkable achievements, 38 students from all four Dastur schools qualified for the National Level Wiz Spell Bee, with two students advancing to the National Level Handwriting competition.
Formerly known as Wiz National until the 2023-24 academic year, WIZ International is now in its 16th year. This year, 2024-25, marks its expansion beyond the national level, with the top 10 National Level achievers advancing to compete on the international stage. Adeeba Ashfaq Mujahid, is now participating for World Spell Bee Championship organised in Texas USA, stated a press release.
