CMA's Contribution Is Significant In The Development Of India Prof. Dr. Medha Kulkarni Appreciated ICMAI's Work At The Regional Practitioners Convention 2024
Pune: "Development projects in the country are done with taxpayers' money. A Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) works on the micro-financial planning and proper allocation of proposed costs while implementing any project. The contribution of 'CMA' is important in the progress of developed India," appreciated Prof. Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha.
She was recently addressing the 'Regional Practitioners Convention 2024' and 'Regional Lady CMA Convention 2024', jointly organized by The Western India Regional Council of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and ICMAI Pune Chapter. The event's theme was 'Learn, Share and Networking is a Success Mantra' and 'Leveraging Women's Capabilities in Advancing a Developed India.
CMA Ashwin Dalwadi, President of ICMAI was the chief guest for the event. CMA Neeraj Joshi, Central Council Member of ICMAI, CMA Chaitanya Moharir, President of Western India Regional Council, CMA Mihir Vyas, Secretary, CMA Nanty Shah, Treasurer, CMA Nagesh Bhagne, President of Pune Chapter, CMA Dr. D. V. Joshi, CMA M. K. Anand, CMA Amit Apte, CMA Dr. Sanjay Bhargave, CMA Nilesh Kekan, CMA Srikanth Ippalpalli, CMA Rahul Chincholkar among others were present.
CMA Ashwin Dalwadi said, "ICMAI is a professional body established under an Act of Parliament. The task was to promote, regulate, and develop the profession of cost accountancy. The organization pursues a structured approach to cost competitiveness, cost management, efficient use of resources, and cost accounting. CMAs are employed in industry and business in cost and management accounting, finance, taxes, mergers, and acquisitions, as well as cost audit and certification and audit of cost records."
CMA Chaitanya Moharir said, "CMA is the best degree for students and can lead to great careers in business and jobs. Hence, the number of students pursuing CMA is increasing day by day. More and more young people should understand and prepare to study CMA. This is a great opportunity to contribute to India's economy and development."
