Catholic Bishops Conference Issues Guidelines To Its 15000 Educational Institutes In India

Pune: The Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI) has made some important suggestions to all educational institutions under its jurisdiction, CBCI sources said.

The CBCI has directed all its educational institutes to respect all faiths and traditions

The CBCI has told all its educational institutes to not force Christian traditions and culture on students of other religions.

The educational institutes have also been told by the CBCI to get students to recite Preamble to the Constitution during the daily morning Assembly.

Besides, the CBCI has also directed the educational institutes to set up an inter-religious prayer room at their premises.

The CBCI has also asked the educational institutes to put the Preamble to the Constitution on display at the entrance to the main school.

The Catholic Bishops Conference of India is the top-most body of the Catholic community in the India. It has over 15,000 educational and technical institutes under its jurisdiction.

The CBCI issued these guidelines in the wake of the recent attacks and protests at its educational premises by certain groups like the Bajrang Dal.
