Pune: In a shocking incident in the Vaiduwadi area of Hadapsar, Pune, a 16-year-old girl was strangled to death by her 18-year-old brother. The tragic event has left the local community in turmoil. The victim has been identified as Safiya Suleman Ansari, and the accused brother as Sharikh Suleman Ansari. The police have arrested Sharikh following his confession.

According to the senior police inspector, the Ansari family resides in the Vaiduwadi area. Safiya suffered from a serious chronic illness, which caused her constant pain and irritation. Constant suffering from diseases made her more irritable and quick to anger. As a result, she was frequently lashing out at others.

On June 17, an argument erupted between Safiya and her brother Sharikh. Enraged by his sister's outburst, Sharikh strangled her in a fit of anger, resulting in her immediate death. In an attempt to cover up the crime, Sharikh hanged Safiya's body from the ceiling to make it appear as if she had committed suicide.

However, the autopsy report revealed that Safiya had died from strangulation, not hanging. Confronted with the evidence, Sharikh confessed to the murder during police questioning. The Hadapsar police have since arrested him and are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover more details about the case.
