‘Arun Rang’ explores educational contributions in the Northeastern region

Pune: A book titled ‘Arun Rang,’ which reviews the educational contributions and experiences of Vivekananda Kendra’s senior life worker, Vishwas Lapalkar, during his thirty years in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam, will be released on Thursday, 17th October 2024, in Pune. The book is being published by Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Province Marathi Publishing Department.

The event will take place at Ganesh Sabhagruha (New English School, Tilak Road) at 5 PM, with dignitaries from Sangh Parivar, including Dr. Manmohan Vaidya (All India Executive Member, RSS), Pradeep Joshi (Assistant Head of Publicity, RSS), and Bhanudas Dhakras (All India General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari), presiding over the release.

‘Arun Rang’ is based on Vishwas Lapalkar’s experiences and memories of the local people, parents, and students he met while conducting educational programs in Arunachal Pradesh and Assam from 1981 to 2011. A dedicated life worker of Vivekananda Kendra, Lapalkar has also served as an organizer in West Bengal and the Andaman regions.

The information was shared via a press note by Abhay Bapat (Province Head, Vivekananda Kendra), Kiran Kirtane (Provincial Director, Vivekananda Kendra), and Sudhir Jogalekar (Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Province Marathi Publishing Department). Following the book release, an informal discussion with Mr. Lapalkar has been arranged, stated a press release.
