Bangladesh In Turmoil As Over 100 Killed In Quota Protest

Pune: Over 100 persons have been killed in violent student protests against reservation in government jobs in Bangladesh.
It is said to worst kind of violence to have wracked Bangladesh. Communication has been hit badly in the country.
Television news channels disappeared from the screen and telecommunications took worst kind of hit. Internet has also been shut down.
In Indian city of Kolkata, students marched on the streets in solidarity with Bangladesh’s anti-quota protesters.
A jail was set on fire in Narsingdi district of Bangladesh as student protestors went on rampage. The inmates ran away from the jail.
With tens and thousands of students taking to the streets, police had a hard time controlling the violent mob. Rallies after rallies are being taken out in Dhaka and other cities by the protestors despite a ban on them. The protestors have been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
