Baba Siddique Murder: Suspect Arrested In Pune
Pune: Pravin Lonkar, who was arrested from Warje area in Pune city by the Mumbai police in connection with the murder of three-time former MLA Baba Siddique (66), had previously been arrested with his brother Shubham by Akola police in Maharashtra in an Arms Act case lodged in January this year.
Police sources said that no criminal record was found against Shubham and Pravin in Pune city. Sources said that after the firing at actor Salman Khan’s house in April in Mumbai, probe agencies had “checked” Shubham Lonkar because of his alleged links with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, The Indian Express reported.
Pravin is the brother of Shubham Lonkar. It was Shubham who haf posted on social media that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility for the murder.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai police on Monday said it has conducted an ossification test of Dharmaraj Kashyap, an accused in the murder case. The police said the test confirmed that he is not a minor.
An ossification test, the police said, is a medical procedure to determine a person'age by analyzing the degree of bone fusion.
