Pune: Former Home Minister and senior NCP-SP leader, Anil Deshmukh, has injected fresh controversy into the Kalyaninagar Porsche car accident case, alleging that the police and political machinery are conspiring to manipulate the viscera report of the deceased youths. The incident, which resulted in fatalities, has now become a focal point of political intrigue in Maharashtra.

Deshmukh took to social media platform 'X' to make startling claims, implicating senior political figures in what he termed a conspiracy to shift responsibility for the accident away from the minor accused onto the deceased victims. His tweets have ignited a storm in the state's political landscape.

"In the Pune hit-and-run case, under political pressure, attempts were made to alter the blood samples of the accused. Now, similar manipulations are underway to change the viscera reports of the deceased youths," Deshmukh alleged.

"As a former Home Minister, I have reliable information that efforts are being made to establish that the victims were intoxicated during the accident by changing their viscera reports, he added."

Deshmukh asserted that this manoeuvre is intended to deflect blame from the minor accused, and he accused several senior leaders of the government of being involved in the alleged cover-up.

Meanwhile, the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) has ordered juvenile correctional custody for the accused minor until June 25, until further hearing.
