Pune: Minister of State for Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol wrote on X, "Inaugurated by Hon. PM Narendra Modi ji, the operations of Pune Intl Airport’s brand new terminal building commenced today. As an inaugural gesture, handed over boarding pass to the first passenger travelling on Air India Pune-New Delhi flight."

"The new terminal building spans across 52000 sq.m. area, with a capacity of catering 90 lakh passengers per year. The terminal is fully equipped with 34 check-in counters & 12 X-Ray Baggage Scanners," he added.Above all, the airport is an iconic example of how technology meets Pune’s rich cultural heritage through the stunning aesthetic creativity showcased in the terminal."

He also said in the post, "I am confident that Punekars & people of Western Maharashtra will experience seamless flying experience, as envisioned by Hon. PM @narendramodi ji."
